This weekend we were “Brave” enough to bring our kids to “a whole new world” where “every dream that you dream will come true.”
Can you guess where we went?
Yup, we took on the Magic Kingdom. On Saturday night I ran with friends Alison, Tara, and Alexis. We rocked the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon, hung out in a rented house in Kissimmee, and headed to the park for a day with the kiddos.
And why would I bring this up here, on my website full of all things journaling?
Because times like these are the perfect reason to keep a family journal.
A family journal can have a theme (travel, holidays, etc.) or it can simply be a running record of what goes on in the life of a family. It’s a place to record the funny things said by the kids, the anecdotes of what happened when and where, and the best part? I get to keep it forever and then pass it on.
From this trip, I’ll put in that Ayla told me as we were waiting in line to ride Aladdin’s Magic Carpet ride “this is just amazing Mom, it’s so amazing!” And that Jude was hand fed Cheerios by a beautiful girl just a few weeks younger than him and that Brian packed clothes like we were going to the Arctic and not central FL!
This is the stuff I want to remember, the memories that make up a life. And so, I journal….
There is a journal in the bottom of my trunk that I hate. It’s…
I’m currently reading Essentialism by Greg McKeown and I’m enjoying it. Probably because…
