It’s New Year’s Eve! Most of us are thinking about the coming year, planning, deciding what will be most important, and dreaming about changes we want to make.
I woke up this morning thinking about those same things.
And honestly, feeling a little starved for some quiet time after being on vacation with my family since December 17. I need some time to think about 2016, preferably before it gets here.
Then I came downstairs and was greeted by a sweet six-year old, warm from her bed, who curled up in my lap, kissed me, and said, “Happy New Year’s Eve Mommy! Today is a day for spending time telling the people we love how much we love them. More than we do on a normal day.”
Another kiss and hug.
I’ll get the time I need for planning and intending. Today, I might just be telling my kids how much I love them.
Happy New Year!
